Just curious how hard you all will hunt a stand location before letting it rest. I'm starting to think that in the past I have overhunted stands, being there for both morning and evening hunts several days in a row

I try to hunt a stand only 2 times in a row. I will sit in a new stand in the afternoon and then again in the next morning. I alway switch in the afternoon just because it is light out and when climbing into a different stand it is just nice to be able to see if any thing has fallen and in my way to shoot. I never give up on a stand during the season either. If I put it up then there was a reason for it. It just takes that one time to be sitting in the right spot. With that being said I have been guilty of seeing a nice buck in an area and just sticking to one or two stands, usally to never see the buck again and catch him on film by a different stand.

When it's hot, I hunt it! Usually no more than three days straight, then I take a few days off (3-5 days), then I'm back again. This is all provided that the wind is right for the hunt.

RE: frequency of stand usage?
It all depends where it is and how I come and go to it. If I can get out of there without spooking deer that have already passed I will sit in it a couple of days in a row. Then I will give it at least 3 days to cool off before going back. I usually place several stands and play the wind as the deciding factor in which one I go to. If I get busted in any stand I'll let it be for 5 days or more.

I hunt the same stand as long as deer will pass by it , then I move on if needed . I'm a meat hunter only and I'm still eating last season's deer from my freezer , draw your own conclusion . This technique is not for trophy hunting , mature bucks spook too easily .

Depends, I usually only hunt a stand a couple times period. Best sit is the first one, so why not do that every time? I kill all my big stuff on my first post!
depends on a lot of factors. Can I get in and out easy? Am I hunting does or mature bucks? How's the wind holding up? Is it the rut? Am I hunting a travel corridor? I generally don't like to go more than 3-4 days in a row.
Last year I killed all 6 of my deer the 1sttime into eachstand.
