Default Need advice for Moultrie Digital and battery life

I have a moultrie digital 1.3 and the battery will only last for about 2 1/2 weeks. I use a rechargable 6-volt battery and hooked a solar charger on it and that still won't work. What do ya'll do for extended battery life?
