Default Can you lure a deer ?

The title pretty well sums this up . This is my first year deer hunting and I could use any advise you could give . Can I call them in ,, or should I go to them . If it matters - I'm shooting archery and my season is going on right now . Oh ,, Colorado mule deer . Thanks .

Calling is about the surest lure that I can think of when done properly , rattling depending on the time you're doing it , curiosity scents as a last resort .

well in about 18 days im going to be doing some experimenting with the Buck Growl. MAD Calls believes that you wont get any results with this call untill lateOctober-Mid November. I think they are wrong and am going to tryusing it off and on through Sept. I have played around with it a bit and like the way it sounds. If you havent heard the call or seen the call go to the website and watch the video here. http://www.obsessionarchery.com/buck-growl-mad-calls-p-830.html

hmm pretty interesting..

sounded kinda like a young calf getting pissed at something

like the folks said above you can callem and/ or use scents..

don't let no one fool ya deer calls work and they also can spook them
if used at wrong times of the season..

i like to use lite tickle bag with a social buck grunt during bow season.

we've walked bedding deer up and grunted at them and they stopped..
i've also had them run n same situation..

suppose deer are like people, different strokes for different folks..

I have only used it on calling Does! The Fawn in Distress Bleat! It works99% of the time.
