get rid of ants on a tree????? Was putting up a stand the other day and while installing the screw-in steps was bitten several times. Thought about sprinkling the ant poison I have at the house around the tree, but it has a strong smell. What would be the best theing to do or use????? Thanks, Scott Woody
There is actually a poison that is in the form of a white powder and you use it on flowers or in gardens to kill ants. You should be able to pick it up at any hardware store or plant store.

Would you like to own a Double Bull blind but can't afford it? I offer a 4 month payment plan. "Wild Thing" pack. The only pack you'll ever need. Email me for details.
One of the aint bait thing will do the trick.
I put the little black plastic things in the aint hills in my yard.
And a few days later the aints will be gone.
It may work for you and theres no smell off them.
Good Luck

I've heard that powered borax will work wonders.
Ants carry it back to the nest and kills the colony.
You can find it in the laundry detergent isle! And it will be cleaner than 7 dust.
Just sprinkle it around the tree!

Just tough it out man. Nah, i know a little about ants in the stand. id just go up higher. Theyre usually not up very high. Youll just have to fight thru the first 10ft.

Thanks guys!!!! Not really sure what kind they are. All I know is when they bite ya it hurts!!!!! I mainly encountered them as I was putting the steps in the tree. When I got the stand in place I didn't see but just a couple. The stand is about 30' up the tree!!!!! Good huntin, Scott Woody
