Default pigeon decoys

so i heard today that by setting out some pigeon or dove decoys aroud your stand or blind is a good way to make deer feel more comfortable because apperently pigeons are very skitish and it makes the deer think that everything is normal. any truth to that?

I've thought of doing the same with turkey dekes, except it'd just be one more thing to haul out to my stand site...

I did it last year in the early season when I had room in my pack due to lack of extra clothes to pack in. It worked pretty good.......I was impressed. I didn't take a deer over them but I did pass several that came in and didn't pay any attention to me. I plan to hunt over deer decoys this year as well.
