All short action rounds are awesome for deer IMO!!! Accurate, pleasant to shoot, and awesome performance!

FOUR HOLES? i S THAT A GOOD THING? I have a7mm-08 that I use once in a awhile and it is a sweet shooting gun. I like Federal Premium Partition points in mine. I have never used the ballistic tips in my 08, but tried them in my 7 mag and foundthem to be be too unpredictable.

you have to rely on them heavily because it rarely goes throughthe skin but it is always accurate and all of my deer have dropped on the spot
the four holes also saved me some money since the processing plant since that didnt have to make the shoulder into sausage
