First I have heard of this. Here in Ms you can buy a crossbow permit, but you can only use it during gun or primitive weapon season. You cannot use it during archery season unless you are over the age of 65 or have a disability.
They are by Handicap Permit only IN ARCHERY SEASONS here in MI but can be used in Gun season, I personnally dont care but if I had my rathers I dont want yahoos running around with them in archry season because they are "easier" to shoot!

It's not that bad. I love crossbow hunting and it is legal here in ontario. We never seem to have a problem with it. It's only a matter of time before it spreads every where.
