When ya gotta go pee

OK your up in that tree. All of a sudden you just know you gotta go pee.
Do you unzip and pee town the tree or fill up an empty water bottle that you brought?

I've been going right out from the stand. I heard it does not effect the hunting at all.

To avoid a deer's nose, first pick your stand site with wind direction in mind. It should be more important than how well you can see and how much concealment you have. If the wind changes direction, move quietly downwind again. If still-hunting, work into the wind or crosswind, never down. Second, leave as little human scent in the area as possible. This means no urinating near your stand, walking about, or leaving garbage lying around (this shouldn't be done anyway, deer notwithstanding).

I just whip it out and go. It doesn't make a diff to them. But it could explain why I had so many does around me this year.

I do believe you'll actually spook more game and leave more scent getting up and down the tree to go.
If I had to take a dump though, I would get down, but I'm not the kind of person who gets out of the shower and goes to the toilet to go pee.

Bobby, have you ever pee'd in a fresh scrape to enhance the scrape? A buck will wind it at 500yds!You use Ammonia to enhance a scrape. What is yourpee composed of, 90% Ammonia!

i use to pick up the gatorade wide mouth drink bottle just for this purpose for years. over the last few years i just fire away off the stand. i havent noticed much of a difference in the amount of deer ive seen. why dont you try a season dong it each way and then form a opinion. if anything and your leary you will have confindence from your own experience which i think means more. kinda like picking the color of a fishing lure. if you think it will catch fish it probably will

I use a bottle. No matter what anyone sez, I mean until deer can talk and tell us the facts - why take the chance?

When in doubt whip it out, that`s my motto during gun season. When I`m bow hunting I go in a sports drink bottle that`s empty.

Gotoraid sounds good....I usually drink water but the Gotoraid sounds great and makes a can't miss pee jar. Hey ...someone could paint it camo and patinent as the Hunter's Urinal

RH, I've teased a many buck by pissin in there scrap, but they don't know if its another buck or a coyote. I really don't think a deer can differentiate between human piss and any other animal piss. If I sat in my stand and didn't see any bucks, I might conclude that it may have an effect, but I've had some nice bucks come right to the tree I'm in and didn't see any reaction other than a sniff or a wiff. I have seen some pretty stupid bucks during the rut in my lifetime and some I could of thrown a brick at them and they would ignore me.
