Default Im not gonna lie I was gettin a little worried.

Until today, I went hunting with my uncle. He said theres been a lot of deer crossing at one of his stands on the powerlines. We got in our stands around 6:45 right before daylight. I sat there for about and hour and thirty minutesand thats whenI seen somethingon the other side of thepowerlines. I couldnt make out what it was at first.SoI sat there watching then out comes a doe, and right behind her are two more I thought to be does. The deer arewalking straight towards meI mean head on.Once she was about 50 yards from meI shot, BOOM!She hit the ground and then some how managed to pull herself back to the placethey came in at anddropped in a foot of water. So the other two that are withher run about 15 yards to my left and look back, I said to myself yall just made the worst descisoin of your life andBOOM! I shot the other doe. Then the what I thought to be a doe ran another 15 yards further and stopped so what did I do BOOM! I took him down to. when I got down from the stand I was in I went and loaded up the deer and seen that the last deer that I shot was a nubby buck. I kinda felt sorry for the little guy seein he could have grown into a much bigger buckbut I thought, thats gonna be some good eatin.

Now Ill tell you why I was gettin a little worried. Every year I alwasys get 4 deer and until todayI only had taken1 and theres aweek left in the season for me. What makes it worst is my mom was always sayin, im gonna forget what deer meat tastes like if you dont getany moreor that one deer aint gonna lasttha year orIm gonna have to get someone else to get me some deer if you dont.

So now I have solved my problem. And theres still a few days left so Im gonna see if I can top my 4 deer a year and go for 5 this year.

I wouldn't have shot until I had good daylight to see that I wasn't shooting 3 button bucks.

I myself dont shoot young deer. But if ya eat the meat then fine. As long as nothing goes to waste. Try to avoid the button bucks.
