Seriously, for me, I've had much better luck on evening hunts, 4:30 till dark!

evening hunts around the new moon for me. see a lot of deer plus its easier to get into position when it's light out. but i just shot a 9 pointer, my biggest, in the mourning opening day. poor bugger was running for his life on public land. just my luck he ran into my gun barrel

30 minutes before sunrise to 30 minutes after sunset, or whatever is legal shooting light in your state. You can't get the game if you are not in the field. MV out!

I hunt both 5:15-10:30, 3:00-dark.

Opening Morning...Illinois Shotgun Season...So I'd have to say early morning.

Early Morning and evening are both good but I prefer the morning so I have the daylight hours to skin them out and get things done up.
