I finally shot my first deer...

after missing a buck with my bow i was bummed out pretty bad....But at first legal shooting light on opening day..(last saturday) A nice doe came in and i let her have it at 45 yards with the shotgun...I shot when she was quartering away and she went twenty yards...The slug went through both lungs and broke the opposite shoulder...How she ran i have no idea...Anyways i'm very happy even if its only a doe...Ill try to post pictures...i have to wait for my dad to hook up the scanner...Matt R.

Bring up memories of my first deer. Only thing that feels better is when you pick up those antlers off the ground after you have harvested your first buck.

i was using a winchester 1400 12 gauge with 2 3/4 inch winchester super x rifled slugs...Thos old slugs hit hard as hell..My grandma is gonna try to scan then and email them to me...so they should be up by tonight...I put one hell of a hole in that deer though...And thank you
