WI Gun Opener..Success x2

Hereare two brutesthat I saw several times during bow season but never got the opportunity to take either of them. Was able to down both of them, the big guy was taken the opening day and the other was taken yesterday. I knew they were around and it would be a matter of time before I would beable to bag one....and actually got them both!! My son and I had a great weekend and a great hunt! The genetics are there in the farm I'm hunting on and hopefully some food plots will improve the antler growth.

I'll attach the second buck pic in the next post.

Here the 2nd pic of the other buck I shot. Hecame out into the back end of a alfalfa field just after shooting light yesterday. We were setup overlooking an apple orchard that has several decent scrapes and a lot of doe activity. He was at315 yds. One shot through the boiler room put him down with only a 40 yard blood trail. It was the greatest because my son got to witness it all and although he's only nine, he is really itchin' to hunt and harvest a deer. Hunting is a great thing to get kids interested in.
