Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement. That buck was around 240 or so on the hoof. He actually is pretty good eating. I had him made into hamburger and breakfast sausage. I was a little worried about the eating factor as he lived in the desert and fed primarily on bitterbrush. I have plenty of whitetail and elk steak for the grill. I thought some sausage and beef laced hamburger would work out great. I made some breakfast buritos for dinner last night and they were M_M good.
