Default Where did she go?!

This morning my grandpa and I were hunting when a deer ran by about 20 yards away. I turned around and two more ran through, I hit one running with my 7mm and heard and saw it hit the doe. The deer fell, skipped of the ground and somehow continued running like nothing happened, a couple steps later she fell again but somehow got up and ran off and out of sight. We searched for blood everywhere but couldn't find any. We found some tracks and some places where she might have fell but no deer. We got a bunch of other people to help us look but to no avail. I'm 100%sure I hit the doe, but we couldn't find any blood at all. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could have happened.

Sounds like you must have just grazed her ...you may have grazed her head and it knocked here a little silly is why she fell and then got back up .... but if your lucky you just grazed her...nothing better then a clean miss as to a wounded deer you cant find ... don't worry you'll have more chances ...

You might havehit it in the lower front leg? You shot it with a 7mmMag and did'nt kill it? How many yards?
You need to go more often to the range!
Sorry to hear you can't find it!

Running shots are bad shots 99% of the time...

Good possiblity of a high single lung shot. That could explain lack of good blood trail. Since you are 100% sure of the hit, I would expand the searching parameters. Deer can run along ways on a single lung shot. Good Luck!!

Well didn't find it, we hunted the same area and didn't see any signs other than *maybe* where it was dragging a leg, but no blood. When I shot and the recoil made the scope go up I saw it's skin rippling...would it make the shoulder/lung area do this if I hit the leg? I can't believe there wasn't any blood...
