What type of action do you prefer in your hunting rifle and why?

Lever. The 1st gun i ever had was the lever action bb gun. ever since i was hooked on it. Also it reminds me of the old west feel you see in the westerns. I know sounds kinda corny, but you asked.

For me its a bolt action. I own both bolt and automatic and I shoot much better with the bolt.

I have had semi autos - bolts - single shot
lever action and break open.

The lever gets my vote.
Theres just something about the feel.
And the way it seems to fit me.

I like cowboy movies so that might have a little to do with it.
I know a bolt is more accreate.
Lever just seems to feel right to me.

My first hunting rifle was a lever action and I have owned a semi auto,but now I hunt only with bolt actions.I want maximum reliability and the best accuracy and the bolt action delivers both.

I like both bolt and lever action,i like my bolt action when im hunting cleard land or fields ,but when im stalking for my deer in the thickets or brush i like my lever action....

Bolt action or break open single shot. Unless it's shotgun small game stuff, then I like a pump or auto.

I deer hunt with either an inline ML or a break open slug gun. If I had a bolt action it would only need to hold a few shells to make me happy.
