Default Is this deer sick

Does anybody know what is wrong with this deer's fur.The picture was taken in northwest Missouri.Is it sick or is this normal.

Ive seen some deer this time of year look like that, maybe not so badly, but a lot of them ook [retty rough right now. I thik a lot of it is coming form shedding the summer coat and revealing a more grayish color. They also have lots of ticks biting them on the back of the neck and ears in the summer and I think that makes them look bad too. But I dont think there is anything bad wrong with that deer, just losing some hair, and getting new.

Ive seen the same sort of hair loss in rabbits on a golf course in San Diego.Is it a hot area where it is?

Looks similar to some of the deer pics I have from my area. Just sheddin' its summer coat probably.

That deer is just shedding his summer coat and the darker stuff is his winter coat coming in.

Yup That's it I have several trail cam pics of deer that look similar to that. Funny thing is some don't have it at all. But that's what it is.

I'm in southwest Virginia and most of my trail cam pics show some degree of this. I think it is just sheading as stated above.
