Exclamation volleyball buck final chapter

Ok so now its sept and I make a mock scrape in my sweet spot and wait. On sept 30th I pull my exchange my chip from my camera and I couldnt believe it he was standing right there in my mock scrape. I was excited I got another chance I thought. Over the next couple weeks I had tons of pics of him on my scrape or his now. I even had one of him on Oct 1 at 8:46 am and of course I was working. So I hunted this spot 4 times before Oct 26th and I did see him at 80yard right before dark once. So on Monday at 5:30 am I got the call that work was cancelled for the day I knew where I was headed. At 735 I had a nice 8 point come in and walk within 5 feet of my stand so I knew I was scent free. At 8 a doe meanedered by and at 8:15 there he was. He stepped out and into his scrape facing right at me. I had to wait for him to turn and walk parrallel to me to get up and byt the time I had a good shot he was 180 degrees ehind me so I did the ever so slowly turn whil he was parralleling me and he stepped clear at 18 yards and I let it fly. I thought I had hit a little low and at first I started to cuss myself but he went 25 yards and stopped then went one more step and went down. Thats when the shaking started and the phone calling began. I then took 20 minutes to calm down, climbed outta my tree and walked over to him. He was magnificent, what a feeling to have this deer on the ground. I calld my two hunting buddies and they came and helped me drag hi out and get him home. He unoffiically scores 178 5/8 and netted 174 3/8 an almost perfect 12 point.

Just noticed, in the field pic, is that a "low fence operation" you were hunting in ?? LOL
