Does anyone know of a good place for me to sight my rifle in?
I looked on the Colorado Department of Wildlife website and it lists a bunch of ranges, but most are very expensive and ones that I would think about joining, have closed new membership.
I've heard about public open ranges, but can't find any information and what to do there. I'm guessing you would take your own targets, benches, etc?
Cherry Creek State Park will cost you about $12 plus you have to buy a annual parks pass. Nice range when its not too busy.
You can also make a drive up to the Pawnee National Grasslands and shoot at various locations there...pick up your trash tho. 83 miles one way from the middle of town.
I'm a member at Clear Creek County Sportsmans Club. Get with me and I'll take you as a guest some weekend. Other than that, you are stuck with DOW. Send me a PM.
Dan
