Default Migrating geese

This week I"™ve been seeing flocks of Canada geese still migrating north and yet the local Canada geese already have there young. The other day on the way to store the traffic had to come to a dead stop to let two adult geese and about 15 young cross the road. To bad I didn"™t have a camera. It was quite a sight.

Default Geese

Most of the geese you're seeing now are the young juvenial birds from last year, that haven't paired up, or too young to breed yet. Here in Michigan, I've been seeing the same thing. But a lot more than usual this year.

Trailer, I have been seeing the same thing around the city. Last week, I saw a pair of Canadas and half a dozen goslings walking across Keewatin and Inkster of all places. Have no idea where they came from or where they were going to( they weren`t in no hurry either).
As for the snowgeese, I heard most of them could be found around the Boissivain during the spring season. Never did get out for them.
