cleaned up on some canadian honkers this early season
me and some buddys shot 36 of em all together this early season. here in north dakota the early season runs from september 1 to the 15. we went out on the last 2 weekends. first 2 days we shot 18. the first day we got 8 just us 3 and then the next day we got another 10 then the next weekend we got another eighteen. 12 the first day and 6 the next. but had along 4 this time. it was alot of fun since this is the first time i called in honkers and the first time i shot one. it was alot of fun havin them big old birds flyin right down on us. the first day we went out the birds were realy big. all over 15 lbs. after that i thinkin we averaged about 13lb birds. alot of fun. the limit here for honkers in the early season is 5 and 10 in possesion. not once did we reach our limit but got close. i cant wait til duck opens on the 27. there were ducks every were. cant wait.
