Default Decoy Molds

I' ve gotten a hold of some molds for both ducks and geese and was thinking of pouring a few.

Anyone know where to get the best price on the plastic? I don' t even know were to start looking. I guess I could do an Internet search but I thought I' d ask you experts first.

Thanks.

Take a look on this site. Do a search you should find the info you need. More than likely they are for foam and not plastic.

I used to make them from polystyrene beads using molds. I don' t know where you can get it now but I used to get it from Decoys Unlimited located in Clinton, Ia. I believe. You have to use a release agent like talcom powder and really rub it into the mold or you will have a mess and will have a hard time getting the decoy out. You can make the decoys as hard as you want by cooking them in a tub of water for a while also you can make the surface very hard by rubbing cooking oil over the talcum powder. I believe it took about 1 and a half pounds of polystyrene for a goose. You can make some pretty nice decoys if you have the time.
