Duck Hunting without a choke
How tight and or accurate will you be duck hunting without a choke at 30 - 35 yards without a choke? Shooting a 12 gauge, kent/blackcloud shells? My father is shooting them left and right without a choke and I'm wondering how big of a difference it makes and/or he's just lucky.

What are you talking about.. ??...Is he using a choke tube threaded barrel with no choke tube, or is he shooting a barrel with a fixed choke, as most of us used to do before choke tubes became common..??...
Actually, if he shooting a clylinder bore ( no constriction at all) it might give a pretty nice pattern at 30-35 yards with steel.. I shoot mostly an IC choke with steel, and do well at those ranges..
However, as the above poster said, if he is shooting a threaded barrel with no choke tubes, he may be damaging the threads..
