Default late season hunt

well we decided to hunt this spot on the river where we thought allll the geese were(turned out we were wrong).we still didnt do bad first thing me and my buddy took a crack at a drake mallard at 25 yards and i was pissed that we missed cuz its rare to even get a shot at a mallard on the river but it was ok.so then here come the canadas about 9 we drop 2.10 minutes later here comes a loner we drop it.then a black duck.then about an hour later i look down stream and say "get down" cuz i seen a merganser and it was weird cuz it was swimming upstream, but i put sorta a stalk on it i would wait for it to dive and then run when it was under water and i put the shot at 30 yards and i only criped it,it took off like a mad duck down stream so i ran as far as i could and stoped and waited ,sure enough here he comes 5 minutes later and i finished him off you cant eat it but i had never seen one in the wild before so it was neat

pics later
