I hear ya. I have some flooded timber to hunt now. New duck call on the way ( zink ph2 acrylic). I keep my calls hanging in my room so I pick them up and practice all year instead of packed away in the basement.

It has been hard on me. That's just too long to wait. I'm practicing up on some pigeons though and coming up here I will be out shooting that big Tom turkey. I guess I'm covered for awhile, but there isn't anything more amazing then a flock of Mallards cupped to your spread...*Shivers*

Good Luck to all

I just hope with all the b*tching and whining I'm hearing from everyone in my part of the world a bunch of people will give up waterfowl hunting. I'm sick of all these newbies breaking the law and not knowing the basic courteseys of duck hunting. Everyone in my part of the world is saying what a rotten season it was.... I thought it was pretty darn good honestly.

At least we have turkey season to look forward too. Bass will start pre-spawning here in another two weeks or so as well... already up in the shallows.... just waiting for the water temp to clear 60 degrees.

Yep, people aregriping here too. I also thought it was a good season.

I was out crappie fishing with my girlfriend yesterday and we had ducks pitching all over us. A group of hooded mergansers came in and lit about 30 yards from us. Beautiful sight. She was telling me she wants to come next season. We'll see.

I had the same thing happen. Bass pond I fish is next to one of the hottest creek and river systems in the state. Wish I had a blind there... just fishing rights... which are still flat out fantastic. We had groups of 30+ teal zipping over head... also a few bunches of ring necks and clusters of wood ducks. Local geese have paired off already and we had about 8-10 pairs on different parts of the pond.
