Got my first duck!

I finally bagged my first duck! this was my 5th trip out and after about a box of shells i think im startin to get the hang of it. Me and my buddy had about a dozen mallard decoys, a few woodies, a few teal, and a couple geese, all set out in a V pattern, and this little guy came in from the right side and was all cupped and ready to land when me and my buddy popped up and started throwin steel at it. I got it with my 2nd shot and finished it off when it hit the water. i wasnt gonna let my first duck swim away. All in all it was a great morning!

Congrats, one of my hunting buddies got his first duck this year it was a blue wing teal. Now that is what keeps you going back!

Congrats on your first of hopefully many!

Little advice on your decoy spread.. dont set them out in a V,, put all your ducks in one round or oval group,,, and set the geese off to the side.
