Default Snowgoose decoys?

I have heard that white garbage bags work just about as well as any other decoy. The key to snowgoose hunting is a big spread as well as movement. Is there any truth to that. I am goin' to start snow goose hunting here this spring and was looking for some advice. What about silouettes? Thanks for any advice in advance.

I saw a program once and they had used white rags instead of plastic bags. The plastic bags would shine in the sun to much and woudn't be natural. On the program the hunters were dressed with white coveralls to blend in with the decoys. Good Luck

Hello fellows...anything white that does'nt shine.we'll pull geese in, but sometimes getting out of the decoys and pass shooting them works. We use about 500 rags and sometimes more..if you get enough rags and set them up right..and maybe throw some windsocks in you'll do fine..My Rig contains of 500 rags 100 wind socks and some full bodies..but in the lates season birds don't decoy good..so we get down wind of our spread.and do some pass shooting , when the birds flare from our spread.and this has been sucessful..for us.Hope i answered your question..and maybe ,i got carried away.ilove hunting them White devils..!!! Who else but the Honkers..

Spend the money and get some good shells and full body and sihouettes, then add to that with as many rags as you can afford Snowies like numbers to begin with but as the season progresses they really start looking for detail. Another trick for snows is to buy a buch of paper plates when they start to look at your spread throw a few of them in the air they look just like birds wifflin into your deeks. Just make sure you pick them up after your hunt or on windy days after every flight or you will be chasing plates all day.
