Default decoy opinion

do you think these are a good idea? Kinda like shells that you prop up to look like full bodies. For 54 bucks a dozen I thought it might be a good way for me to start field hunting. Been water hunting for years but lakes are too crowded. Any thoughts? http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/te...4887&Nty=1

My buddy bought some last year. The decoys them selves are not bad. the stakes they come with suck! But if your looking for a large spread and you are wanting to mix them in with some full bodies they are not a bad way to go!

I bought some of the 'Universal Motion Stakes'(I call them 'wobble sticks') to use with some of my shells, and they are well worth the money. Just a little added motion goes a long way. Although they are suspect in frozen ground. I've had to make 'pilot holes' with a spike and hammer on occcasion.

Don't know about those particular decoys, though.

I use about 6 dozen full bodies and have 4 or 5 dozen shells. The old skwel sillowettes make the rig look amazing. THey are easy to make we got a whole truck load of ply wood from a lumber company that they couldn't sell for FREE!!!!!!!!!!!! Call around get some paint and beer just have a blast

I had them and sold them. Universal motion stakes won't work here because the body is held wider with the "T" stakes that come with the deeks. I really think you get what you pay for here, not much.
Better off to save a little longer and get some good shells. Jim
