1st Wood Duck, advice on taxidermy mount
Got my first Wood Duck yesterday, a beautiful Drake. Would you get the traditional sitting position, or a flying spread....which looks the most realistic and displays the color of the bird the best in your opinion?

RE: 1st Wood Duck, advice on taxidermy mount
Wood ducks are beautiful birds and i think their colors are best displayed when they are alert and standing up.
Get the duck mounted standing on a piece of driftwood with his head slighty tured back looking at you.
Congrats btw
