Default Full choke

I want to try goose hunting but the guns i have are older guns with fixed chokes. I either have a cylinder or full. Would it be safe to shoot steel through the full? If so, is there a shot size restriction.
Thanks for any help

It's not recommended to shoot steel with full choke. Some guy's say that you can shoot up to #2 steel with full choke but I wouldn't do it. Get the full choke barrel reworked to modified from a gun smith and have the forcing cone extended at the same time.

Big Duck, Use your cyinder choke over some decoys and I'm sure you'll bag your birds.Good luck and be safe

Am I the only one that shoots full choke with steel ? I have six chokes for my gun but cant seem to consistantly hit with anything but the full choke...I'm not talking about an extra full turkey choke...Its the standard full choke..But it kills ducks dead , no cripples or loose feather fly offs...

THanks for all the input. I think I will stay with the cylinder and thy to bring them in a little closer.

Thanks again
