Mine used to be a Remington 870, but I am retiring it this year to shoot my new Beretta Extrema 2.

I used a Winchester 1300, field model with a 28" barrel for four seasons in Sask. It worked great.

This November I'll be busting seaducks with my new Benelli SBE II. It's being shipped to me know. I can't wait to run some shells though it.

Shotguns have had a lot of tactical stuff added to them whether they needed it or not and sometimes current buyers of new shotguns are awe struck if a plain Remington 870 shows up at the range dressed in it's 20" plain barrel with a beaded sight.

"I've never seen a shotgun like that before, where's all the good stuff?" Good stuff being interpreted as the flashlight, the extra shell holders, folding stocks, magazine extensions, safety extensions, ghost-ring sights, red-dot sights mounted on a Picatinny rail and last, but surely not least, the tactical one-point attached sling. Tacticaled out, they weigh in the 10- to 15-pound range unloaded.
This post may win, the most stupid post of the year award.

I use a 20 ga pump. I only shoot decoyed birds and I don't need a 3 1/2 inch 12 gauge or a 10 gauge to do it.
