Default hunting a flooded cotton field

just wondering if anyone has heard of this or has tried it we have a place that sits between a man river flyway and refuge and has cotton in it the field is already leveed up and we have a blind built on a cotton trailer and will be able to hunt this place for free. All I have ever hunted over was beans, corn or rice. Or flooded timber. This place is in one of the main killing spots her in TN. And sure beats paying 6 grand for a lease.

I did that back in the late 80's by the Colorado River, didn't do well on birds, actually no birds at all. But if you have fields that they are transitioning to/from I would think you would do OK

Yeah here in New Mexico , we got a refuge with cooton,A lot of geese and ducks land there and sit.We cant hunt in the fielg though so we just stand on the ditch on the other side of the refuge and we have alot fly over in early morning and later on in the evening. So that'll be ur most active times , should work
