Default Elk Hunt Trade

Looking to see if anyone would be willing to come Elk hunt in our camp for a similar experience where they live for goose hunting. We have a very well established camp, over twenty years, and better than the unit norm for success. We are not looking for money, as we are not a business, just a couple of guys wanting todo somegoose hunting somewhere else.

When is the Elk season? Rifle or Bow?

I doubt I could do it this year, but I'd be interested in talking to you about next year. Are you looking for Canada geese or Snow geese?

Cheers,

M

I guess that is some pretty relevant information I omitted. We hunt the rifle season, here in Idaho, and there is Mule deer and Black bear open at the same time. The season opens October 13th and lasts until the end of the month. Camp is up until the 28th most years.

That timing would work pretty well. What time of year would you be looking to go Goose hunting? We have a fall season that normally starts mid september and goes until about xmas or when the water freezes (which typically happens first). We also have a spring snow goose season which goes from april into mid may.

For me, my 2007 fall hunting schedule is already booked, but if it's possible for 2008, let me know. Feel free to pm me if you want.

cheers,

M

I can get you on some of the west's premier goose hunting within 40 miles of Denver. I have a large heated pit, 30 dozen FFD FB's, and we put the SMACK on 'um. This last fall we shot 119 geese in the first 9 days of the season. I would be interested.

Well mustad, I am thinking that Quebec is a tad bit far to travel for goose hunting, but if you are really interested in coming out in 08 then PM me, we can get some basic info exchanged, see if you want to head out here. Of course I will need to practice up on my french, as I would want you to feel at home.....LOL. Looking forward to talking with you!
