Default Got jewelry this weekend

Went hunting Saturday afternoon and had a great day with my 7 year old son. Limited out on mallards, 4 drakes, and two hens, the bonus was one hen had a band, we were very happy hunters to say the least. Just had to share the news, because we don't see many banded birds around here for some reason.

Good hunting. I have never come across bands on ducks but I have 2 bands I've collected over the years and they were both on Canada geese. The bands came from Washington DC and I was hunting in Manitoba. They sure travel.

I got the information back on the banded hen last week, and she was hatched in 1999, and was banded in North Dakota. I just need to get another one for my sons lanyard now.
