Default Need help learning to use my goose call

went to dick's tonight and there was a bunch of waterfowl stuff on sale so I bought a short reed goose call (made by big river game calls). No instructional DVD or CD came with it so I was wondering if you guys could help me out finding somewhere on the internet where I could get some help learning to use this call. thanks

Try callingducks.com they have tons of online intruction for learning a short reed. But what ever you do, don't give up, because it will take some time and lots of practice to sound realistic. If you have any ?'s PM me and Id be glad to help you out, I run private lesson's in MB and it really helps if you can get one of your buddys to show you, hands on, how to hold the call and etc.

Can you call ducks already? If you can, you can call geese. If you can't, thats the best place to start. Buck Gardner taught me everything I know about calling ducks through his instructional tapes, (and a little in person). If you can get the duck calling down, the goose calling comes easy. Reason is, you use the same air flow. The same air you use to fog your sunglasses to clean them, thats how you blow a duck call and a short reed goose call. Try and get Bucks green wing instructional tape and practice it. If you have a friend that can blow a short reed, try to get him to spend just a little time with you. Once you start making any goose sounds at all, the rest is much easier. Fred Zinks also makes a great instructional goose calling video. Good Luck!!!

P.S. PRACTICE! PRACTICE! PRACTICE!
