Default First Mount

This season I managed to shot the first green wing teal I've ever shot. It happened to be a hen, but it was still pretty cool. Then about 2 weeks later I shot a drake, and decided to have him mounted. My dad suggested I let him try and mount it because it would be much cheaper, and he wanted to see how it was and maybe get in to it doing more birds. He ordered all the components from a Van Dyke's cataloge, and got the bird done in about 3 or 4 days. He wanted to do it in a standing / preeningpositionwith one leg out.IMO it doesn't look bad at all, especially for someone's first bird. Here's some pics :

My first bird eer stuffed was a late season bufflehead, very nice bird. Good job on your bird!
