Never seen nor heard of onekilled, but am told that a handful of ducks are banded with a ten thousand dollar reward band. Has anyone heard of this? I also heard one from each flyway is banded. I would never be so lucky. It's taken me over 30 years just to take seven banded ducks, one of which was a double banded $100.00 reward Mallard.
I posted your question on another forum. I am pretty sure someone answered your question. Here is a link. http://www.foilesstraitmeat.com/foru...pic.php?t=2546. oh btw you should join up we would love to have ya. great website.

Very possible,, probably had a very short eligible time frame,, 60-90 days maybe. Its only recently that they started putting reward bands out,, encourages people too return information, they also have expiry dates on them.
10 grand,, hmmm can you say argentina duck killing!
I seem to remember something a year or three back about some sort of big reward. I think Mack's PW might of had something to do with it. I think they were going to take the #'s of every duck banded that year and put them in a hat or something. Then, whenever someone kills a bird, you send the # (and likely some federal reserve notes) to MPW or something and at the end of the season they draw one #. If that # was submitted by someone, then they win, if not, then no one does.
Might be what you are talking about...

I don't know if it was ever true but I heard once that one duck was banned with a $1,000,000 band. But the catch was you had to be part of this specific hunting club/group. I have no clue if this was true but just what I head.
