Default wood ducks

I hunt in SC and just about all you shot is woodducks and most everyone i know just stands in water and hopes some fly by low enough to shoot. I was wondering if some one could give me some advice as to a good woodduck call and calling technique.

I use the flextone but I have good luck with the knight and hale and duckcommander wood duck calls.

most of the whistle calls sound the same. i use a h.s. 6 in 1 whistle just cause it was like 5 or 6 bucks.

drake whistle and a woodduck call sounds completely different. Woodducks either want in or they dont, are you using woodduck decoys? if not Id get some and a woodduck call,, dont expect too call them in like you can mallards. if theyre over the dekes and in range,, let them have it!

If youve got speakers on your computer you can hear the different sounds the calls make.

The best woodduck call I have ever used or heard is the big rivers call, It is short and is made out of wood, dont get the plastic one, it sounds like crap...
