Default Decoy mix for Potomic River

Usually I would use just Mallard and a few pintails, but I've been looking to get a few more varitiy to add appeal that other spread's might not have making mine the one out of the other 5 or 6 on the same coastline that birds want to land in, and get those gun shy birds. Anybody know of a great book that describes the flocking habit of many different ducks or just those in the atlantic flyway.

The best way is to just wach the birds in your area look at how they get togther who swims with who and what kind stays just out side of the the others
i do that every year and then set my decoys to that parden it works better then any book they don't know your area and the duck there
good luck

Could you throw in a dozen Black ducks and maybe some teal? Can I ask, where on the Potomic do you hunt? I thought the river was mostly build up from the source on.

There are some great places to hunt, it hasn't been built upon too bad below the Wilson Bridge. As you go further up torward Hagerstown it hasn't been built on. There are some great places on the rivers of Md to hunt, even Antetium creek can be good in the depths of winter.
