I see Carpmaster put us on the board, great job! How many birds did you see? I'll be out for the first time on Monday, hopefully to contribute to the team and my freezer.

Saw lots of birds, between non-committing birds and a few poor shots one was all I could muster....this weekend I will put more down...but best of all guys just wait for my trip to manitoba!!!

Haven't been out yet, planning on seeing if I can get my first goose thursday night, then I'll be hunting duck opener sunday morning.

Had a really tough go of it this weekend, only one more for sure to add, at least we are on the board!!! Things will get better I am sure, I stll go to indiana, plus Manitoba, plus my diver trip thanksgiving this year, so I should have some good #'s to put up in the next couple months!!

I hunt near portland indiana, which i think is east central it is about an hour or so from ft wayne off of us 27.....we usually go there near the new years for geese and ducks...

I've never been to Fort Wayne, all of my hunting will be in the Southwest corner of the state.

I got my first Blue-Winged Teal ever this morning!!!!!! 3 of them!!!!!

Pretty birds, was going to get one mounted, but decided to wait for another time, tryin to save some money.

Any good recipes? Those breast are small, I thought about marinating them in teriyaki sauce and wrapping with bacon, cooking them over the grill.

That idea for cooking them should work well...I usually slice them across the breast into 3/4" stripd prior to marinating though...just DO NOT overcook them cook them how you like your steak, the less they are cooked the better they taste...I make mine medium rare...
