I'm starting to get a bit worried about our duck season. The drought and lack of rain is really hurting our ponds. We did get a pretty good storm last night, it wasn't nearly enough to fill our ponds. I will be on the lookout for the teal!

I have purchased all of the supplies except for the elusive 90 degree slip outlet. It's a corner piece with a 90 degree sticking out of the top. My whole purpose in this blind is to try and build it as cheap as possible, so rather than ordering that piece off of the internet I am going to fabricate a little. I am hoping to work on it this weekend and if lucky complete it. When I am done I am going to be posting the "rough" blueprint, steps to follow, pieces to buy, and how much it cost on my Field Journal.

Not sure if you wanted that much info, but I like to type

Here in MN we have been seeing ducks all summer long, and lots of them. Every pond I've seen so far has had ducks on it so I can't wait for season to open up.

The bw teal drakes have been moving through here in SD for about a week and a half. This about normal.

Any update for Northern Illinois Mississippi River?

Did the cool weather push them too far down already?
