I got my fist one this year in Marks, MS. The duck was banded (Mallard Drake) in Hoyle, Ontario Canada on 8/20/2000, hatched in 1999 or earlier.

That is the first and only hooded i have heard of being banded....my group has 5 bands total and they happened to all be locally banded but most were at least a full year prior....2 buddies of mine have consec band #'s from birds killed in 2002 and 2004 and the birds were banded locally in 2000, what are the odds of that and the birds died within 100 yds of the same place!
