3 shells in gun
I have a question about why the fed regulations only allow 3 shot shell in the firearm for waterfowl hunting?I was watchingESPN 2 one weekend morning and they had mentioned why this came about.I always thought it had something to do with the restriction on market hunting many years ago but I think there was more to it.I just don't remember at this time what the reason was .
I'm going to get back to waterfowl hunting again with my sons after about a 20 + year no waterfowl hunting period.thanks for your info

RE: 3 shells in gun
I have always heard that it stemmed from single and double barrel shooters crying about unfair advantage. I tend to believe this when I think of the other hunting controversies and arguments. Compound vs. recurve bow, scopes on muzzleloaders, laser rangefinders, roboducks, etc.
But really, I think it is tokeep poor shooters from going broke.
