You have to check your email and it should have the email address for david. Then you email him saying

I doubt they did. With the recent upgrade of software, they've been a little behind on approvals to memberships. The email to David should work....just give him a little time.

I just did the same thing for my brother in law. You should get two emails. One after registering, which is you accepting registration with which you verify that it actually was you signing up with that email address. Then after you verify, you'll get another email when they've accepted your registration. After that you'll be able to post.
