Default What would you recommend i do??

i have a rem 870 express turkey camo with an 18" barrel. i was wondering if ya'll think i should get a regular length express barrel for my gun for waterfow. i've taken it skeet shooting with the 18" and had trouble shooting anything over 30 yards. should i try a tighter choke or what. i was shooting with an improved cylinder.

I prefer a longer barrel. However, I'm a big guy - 6'5 300 pounds.

I'd guess that you ought to play with the choke issue too!

Good luck.

it's either 18, 18 1/2, or 20 but i'm pretty sure it's right around 18.

On my Waterfowling shot gun, I have 28" barrel and I think it is the industry standard for fowling. The only guys that I have ever seen use shorter barrels were hunting a goose field and they would shot at about 15 to 20 yards. I would not mess with the chock tubs with a 21" barrel, you will need a longer barrel, unless all your shots are right in your grill.

yeah i think i may try to find a used one or something like that. i kinda doubt all of the shots will be close. i'll try shooting with a tighter choke and see.
