Default New Shotgun?

I'm looking to get a shotgun and I am wondering what you guys would recommend. I'm looking for a 12 gauge thats under 300 and I would like a pump. Right now I'm thinking about getting the new Mossberg or the NEF Pardner Pump.
any help would be greatly appreciated

well i'm not a huge fan of mossberg but the best pump under 300 dollars is definately the 870. or if your willing to throw in just that extra amount...the benelli nova pump in camo is 400 dollars and in black it is 325..and in my opinion this is the best pump you can buy.

I shoot a BPS 10 and I have also been looking at the NEF Pardner pump fpr a back up gun......I gave my step son my 870 so know I need something.....870 would always be a goos choice too!!

IMO it is impossible to beat the Nova for price, quality, functionality....the NOVA all the way!

Not familiar with the NOVA but the 870 I do know, it is a nice shotgun for the price as well.

Why buy new? Find an 870 wingmaster (higher quality than the express) or a nova that are used. These guns are both tough as nails so buying used shouldn't be a worry, plus you save money.

I would get the Nova, here the camo one is $350 and the black one is $300. It is also a 3 1/2" magnum. I have shot quite a few 3 1/2s in hevi shot and impact threw mine and have not had a problem yet. It also has more features than the 870.

Among others I have had 870s for years (50) and 2 years ago I won a Nova. I have had many times when it releases a shell from the mag when you shoot and then you have to dismantle the darn thing out in the slough to continue hunting. It also rattles like a bucket of bolts. As far as quality and care free operation they are not in the same league as the good old 870 Wingmaster.

I have never had a problem with my Nova and the rattle can easily be taken out by tightening the two allen screws on the forend.
