We need a cormorant season!!!

We should have an open season on all invasive bird species. Why does the govt. want to eradicate all invasive fish species and protect all invasive bird species? We have a lot of cormorants up here in Michigan. We should not have cormorants. In Iowa Carpmaster and I were fishing ane we saw a pair of Pelicans, in Iowa. What is wrong with this?

Man I totally agree with the cormarants, I have heard here say about Virginia having a season on them but it hasn't happened yet. I have been in a blind and at least a dozen cormorants were working their way up the channel hearding fish like cattle . They crap all over our blinds it is just way to many of them.

I ask a ODNR and Fed DNR officers for a season last fall ,they replyed that we would be to efective and have to much fun.

I'd seen them on Lake Petenwell in years past, but the past couple of years they're everywhere! I saw about fifteen of them on a small lake near where I work, and the lake isn't more than a couple hundred acres. I think they should be shot up a bit. I think about four or five dozen perch decoys would be effective, maybe a few smallmouth blocks on the outside to really draw them in?

A couple years ago the Michigan DNR found about 500 dead cormorants on one of the islands on the Detriot River. Tell me they wernt having fun.

i agree i see them all the time eating 16 inch striped bass and small fluke i hate them.
