WTB: Old Stereo eqip.Marantz,Sansui

Hey guy's I am looking for some of the old stuff.Stereo amps,( just the power amp)Tuners ,etc.etc.Am trying to put together an old style stereo like I used to have.I had a 400 watt Marantz amp,Marantz tuner,Marantz EQ,Beogram linear turn table ,Teac Reel to Reel,and 4 JBL century speakers.Also would take sansui equip.All of this stuff was the tube type.Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thats a pretty tall order Swampdog. Ive got a couple of Carver 500t's with both the C-2 and C-4000 pre-amps. Iam also looking at a Phase Linear 400 amp, a BSR EQ-3000 and an assortment of GAS amps and preamps. No earlier Marantz's. Sorry.

LOL,Ain't that the truth.went to E- Bay and a couple of other places.Good googa mooga.That stuff is higher now than it was in the late 60s.Saw a couple of Marantz set ups at over $3000.NOT.BTW Have you ever heard of a brand of speakers called Warhfdale(sp) Had a set I got from a bud when he got back from Germany.Man those things looked like some big end tables but had a great sound.Talked to another bud that still has a complete Macintosh rig .I mean everything you could get in 1976 .That is pretty cool.It even has the Beogram.Got four big Mac cabinet speakers. Matter of fact it was the stereo that we had in a bar we ran together.( I am actually ashamed to say we even played Disco music on it towards the end.Maybe it will forgive me.)Just so happens I have a couple of guns he has been wanting for a while.Dang he told me he would get them one day.Looks like he may be right........LOL

Alot of the older gear still gets a pretty good buck on e-bay. You might try Audiogon.com. Iam running Mac's with B&W's or a set of Magneplanars upstairs and Rotel and Martin Loagans down. Ive picked up a bit of gear over the years, and swap it out from time to time. Good luck on locating your Marantz amps.
