help need a compact scope

I am looking for a little help looking for a compact scope to put on my sks, I have found 2 that would work, got told that neather of them worth a chit. one is a leapers, the other is a simmon, both under $40.
needs to be:
1:compact (don't want to buy a shell deflector right now)
2:2.5 - 3.5 eye releaf
3:at or under $40 WITH shipping (I can figure the shipping if that can help)
4:multi power is great, fixed 4 or 6 power is fine
5:just can be plan crosshairs

I really could use some help with this. I am going to be using it hunting this year. Rifle in my area starts nov. 17 and I have not gotten any range time in because of a major scope problem.

oh yeah, NO BSA. already tried one and blow the heck out of the crosshair[:@]
