Shane , the only place in TX that I hunted in with an Outfitter is on the Ford Ranch. Its more of a do it yourself hunt, Now if you want a bird , my friend you will get into birds on this ranch and there is Thousands of Acres to hunt. They are not fenced in birds but it is a prefect place for them.

I don't have a contact number at the time , but can get one if your interested in looking into it...BT

thanks for the info BT, i live in maryland so it would be nice to have lodging on the ranch where i would be hunting, i dont mine doing my own calling, i have killed two birds a year for the last 6 years here in maryland, so i must be doing something right .
i want to start my world slam next year, so far i just have the eastern, so any other ranches or outfitters you have been to would be great info too!!!
first hand experience, is always the best references.

The Ford Ranch has Bunk houses and a cook/eating room.
Merriams - SD or NE , I have a contact in Chadron NE and he has birds.
Osceola - Chappy's Outfitters in Lakeport FL. We lease land beside the known "FishEating Creek Outfitters" The only small problem is that I as a guide would have to go along with you because of Insurance reasons , But you do the calling and I'll do the sleeping! lol...BT

I hunt Oklahoma for Rio's. I provide everything but lodging and it is in a motel nearby. Have had excellent success the last several years.
