Just a few pics from yesterday..more today

Hi, I took a trip moose scounting an area I am thinking of trying some moose hunting in this fall. So i took a few pics of my trip there. First set shows the Machias river from a bridge I drove across. The next 2 are from the Crooked river I drove across.

The next one is a ruffed grouse with a young one with her. I drove up on a small family of them but could only capture this hen with a baby. The next 2 is from the moose signs I had come upon. First is the rub from last fall.. The next is fresh tracks in the road. I am only scouting out a rough idea on where to hunt for them this coming fall. So not a lot of effort into it as they will be wandering by then..

I went back out today and tried a camera I drowned last year but it is still not working all that great. I did another of a stream where the water and wind brought down a couple of trees that blocked the stream off. The last two is a cow and bull moose that I was able to see today. I actually saw five moose in total, two deer, a turkey, and another grouse. it was a great day to see all the wildlife but it has been raining pretty hard at times. last night we got ove 2 inches alone.. i wish it would dry up some around here.. Any ways here are the pics.

Out of all the grouse I've seen, hunted, eaten, and darned near run over, I've never seen a chick. That pretty cool.

Very nice photo's Phil! I particularly like the second photo of the Machias River and Mrs. Ruff and her young. Your second photo of the Machias has alot of potential for some special effects editing.
